You should definitely give these sites a visit. I'll add more links as I get more.
Anime-esque
- Anime Season
If you like watching anime, this is a good place to watch it. I've been looking for a good, free site to watch anime on and I've finally found it! It keeps up to date with ongoing anime, too. I watch my anime here.
Japan-esque
- So You Want to Learn Japanese?
Fun editorial written by a man who is currently majoring in Japanese. It's a sarcastic, hilarious editorial speaking to those of us who want to learn the language. It's especially funny to those of us who have read articles at other sites that claim the Japanese language is really very simple and can be learned simply with diligence and lots of practice. - Tae Kim's Japaense guide to Japanese grammar
Not the place to learn the whole language, but a good place to get up on reading a few kanji, getting familiar with them, and learning grammar. Nice site to use if you're feeling rusty on your already-learned Japanese grammar. - Dark Mirage
A blog about anime, video games, J-Pop and other things. He writes indepth, rather funny blogs. I usually get some of my new music from his recommendations. When watching Code Geass R2, it was fun to read his summaries of each episode as it was aired, and as I was watching them. If you're into anime and music, stop by. - Gaijin Smash
Absolutely hilarious. I'm still in the process of getting caught up with each of his articles. Each article is written about his personal experience in Japan. He is a very tall, black, english Jr. High School teacher at 3 different schools. Each article honestly makes me laugh out loud. Highly, highly recommended.
Music-esque
- Gendou's Anime Music
This is where I get all of my anime music. Hear an opening you like but can't find it anywhere? This would be the place. You need to sign up, but it's free and it's worth it.
Game-esque
- Nanaca Crash!!
Fun game that is quite simple, yet addicting. The directions are in Japanese (but the other stuff is in English (weird eh?)). You click Start. Then, click on the rotating arrow above the "Press!!". That'll determine the direction you are going to be going, and then you hold it. The more the little box is filled, the harder you'll be rammed into by a bicycle, thus sent flying into the air. The goal is to keep airborne for as long as possible.
