My name is Amber. My username almost everywhere is ambchan, so some of my friends call me that instead. I'm 19 years old, born and raised in Jersey. No, I'm not a guido. I'm far from it.
I'm an anime/manga/Japan loving person. I also have an ESFJ personality. I love going to conventions. I've gone to MangaNEXT '07, AnimeNEXT '08 and '09, and I'll be going to MangaNEXT '10 in October. I don't travel much for conventions, but I like to go at least once a year to them. ;) It's sort of a tradition for my friends and I.
I'm going to my local community college Fall 2010, where I'll be majoring in Computer Science. I've only dabbled in the area, but I'd like to learn more, despite the numerous challenges I see ahead of me.
I love love love Japanese food. It doesn't make me feel like a hippo, either, which is good! I also love music, particularly that of the electronica/techno/pop genre. If an artist incorporates two of those genres into the same song, I instantly fall in love.
I'm a pretty fun gal who likes World of Warcraft and partying at Barnes & Noble with my friends. We go there a lot. Some of us are huge dorks, yes. One of my friend's mother's asked us one day, "When you say 'I'm going to Barnes & Noble', is that code for something else?" I think that says something.
I work at ShopRite as a book runner, and I drive a 2005 Chevy Classic. His name is Squirrel. My older sister, Candi, named him that because of the sound he makes when it's cold outside and the heat is on. I personally think it sounds like Gardevoir (Pokemon), but she insisted it sounded like purring/squirrels. Dunno. The name just stuck.
